THE PURBECK WAY, DORSET
(BROWNSEA ISLAND & TYNEHAM VILLAGE)
SEPTEMBER 2007



DAY 1 - WAREHAM TO SWANAGE (14 MILES)

Start of the walk at Wareham bridge

Wareham church & the River Frome

A lovely cool paddle along the beach into Swanage


DAY 2 - SWANAGE VIA COAST PATH TO CHAPMAN'S POOL,
THEN INLAND TO CORFE (14 MILES)

DAY 3 - BROWNSEA ISLAND

DAY 4 - TYNEHAM VILLAGE

In 1943 the villagers were moved out by Winston Churchills War Cabinet
prior to the area being used for D-Day preparations. They never returned.
